Wedding 💒 Day 3

Welcome!

It was such a beautiful day today! I’m so happy nice weather is here to stay.

The cut apart of this card was initially 6″x5″ and I cut it down, inked the edges, mounted it on yellow card-stock, inked those edges and finally mounted both pieces on silver glitter card-stock. Once I had the card front put together, I inked the final edges and then adhered it to the card base. I thought it looked a little plain, so I topped it off with some bling!

I hope you have a great day!

Until tomorrow…

Rugged 🤠 Day 6

Welcome!

For those of you that do not know me, I started my crafting journey by making origami dresses and shirts to be the focal points of my handcrafted cards. I found origami was a great way to focus my thoughts on one task, which helped reduce my anxiety to manageable levels. I remember getting a MRI and going over and over in my head the process of folding an origami dress.

Happy Saturday to you and yours!

Until tomorrow…

Rugged 🤠 Day 4

Welcome!

Today’s card was inspired by Stamping Jill’s YouTube Channel. It’s a diagonal fold card, which is a new style for me. The base was not too hard, but matching up the designer paper was quite the challenge for me. For whatever reason, I couldn’t get it to work, so my husband did it for me 😊

I hope you are having a great day! It’s almost Friday!

Rugged 🤠 Day 2

Welcome!

Today’s card was made by following one of my favorite crafter’s, Maymay Helmes. I followed her YouTube video, which is found by clicking here. She does an amazing job with step by step instructions.

I’m going to keep the card blank for now and use it when I have a specific occasion, such as a birthday or Father’s Day!

I hope you are having a great start to your week!

Until tomorrow…

Rugged 🤠 Day 1

This week I’m going to give it a good shot at creating masculine cards. This is a stretch for me because I have all of the lace, sequins and ribbons to make a ton of feminine cards. I don’t have much to make guys cards 😂

Today’s card was made with my son in mind. I want to send him a thank you card for the time we spent with him and his girlfriend in Arizona. The paper reminds me of our hikes and all the fun we had together.

Until tomorrow…

Mother’s Day 💕 Day 7

Welcome!

I can’t believe another week has flown by. For me, I was traveling for the first part of the week and then landed in bed with a horrible cold the second part of the week. Maybe that is why it went by so fast-I slept through most of it 🤣.

Today’s card uses my new favorite stamp set from Catherine Pooler. It is so simple and versatile! I don’t have to think too much to create a beautiful and timeless card.

Which card or tag set did you enjoy most from this series?

Quilling 🌸 Day 6

Welcome!

Happy Saturday! I’m very happy today because my daughter was able to come home from college and spend the weekend with us. We have a fun day planned, but I wanted to quick share with you today’s card.

Each petal is made with 3 strips of quilling paper so they are huge! I was planning on creating a full card, with a stem and leaves, but the flower alone took up the entire card. I’m thinking when they said to use 3 strips, they weren’t talking about full size strips. 😊

Until tomorrow…
