Oh Baby 🍼 Day 4

Welcome!

Another gorgeous day where I live. It is sunny and 86 degrees. I plan on going for a walk after dinner and enjoy this beautiful day.

I’m thinking about ending this series with a baby journal. My other passion is creating various types of journals. Would you be interested in seeing a baby journal? I could do it over 3 days and bring you along for the process. Please comment if you are interested!

Until tomorrow…

Father’s Day 🎩 Day 4

Welcome!

Today’s card was lots of fun to make. I think I say that every time I post something. I really enjoy my craft and it is a wonderful outlet to my crazy life.

I like the fishing bling I added for the photo 😊 I had to chase my cats away and then take a quick photo! Curious cats for sure!

Father’s Day 🎩 Day 3

Welcome!

In today’s card I am still using the card kit I purchased from Hobby Lobby. I printed out a fish template off of the Internet and traced it onto some of the papers included in the kit. I then punched out a hole in each fish and tied each one to some twine. I added a few embellishments to complete this simple Father’s Day card.

I hope this card makes you smile!

Rugged 🤠 Day 6

Welcome!

For those of you that do not know me, I started my crafting journey by making origami dresses and shirts to be the focal points of my handcrafted cards. I found origami was a great way to focus my thoughts on one task, which helped reduce my anxiety to manageable levels. I remember getting a MRI and going over and over in my head the process of folding an origami dress.

Happy Saturday to you and yours!

Rugged 🤠 Day 4

Welcome!

Today’s card was inspired by Stamping Jill’s YouTube Channel. It’s a diagonal fold card, which is a new style for me. The base was not too hard, but matching up the designer paper was quite the challenge for me. For whatever reason, I couldn’t get it to work, so my husband did it for me 😊

I hope you are having a great day! It’s almost Friday!

Rugged 🤠 Day 2

Welcome!

Today’s card was made by following one of my favorite crafter’s, Maymay Helmes. I followed her YouTube video, which is found by clicking here. She does an amazing job with step by step instructions.

I’m going to keep the card blank for now and use it when I have a specific occasion, such as a birthday or Father’s Day!

I hope you are having a great start to your week!

Quilling 🌸 Day 5

Welcome!

Do you remember earlier in the week I started off making a tag for my post, but I ripped it? Well, I tried it again and used hole reinforcers and this time it worked out just fine!

I hope you are having a wonderful Friday! I took a vacation day, so I’m looking forward to my 3 day weekend, plus my daughter is coming home for a visit 💕💕

Quilling 🌸 Day 3

Welcome!

Happy first day of Spring! How is the weather where you are today? We had a high of 39F. It wasn’t very sunny, but it is starting to warm up and the snow is fading quickly.

Today’s card actually started out as a tag, but when I added the ribbon, it tore! I couldn’t let it go to waste, so I chopped off the top, adhered it to a mat piece and then onto a 3.5×3.5 card base.

What are some of your favorite saves?

Welcome Home 🏡 Day 5

Welcome!

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I used Catherine Pooler‘s beautiful Happy Place stamp set. The card design was inspired by Daniel West of Del & Artie.

This past weekend, I cut out and colored one of the houses. I set it aside, not knowing what I was going to do with it.

I decided to stamp out a row of houses and then glue my original house on top of one of the images. I couldn’t decide on a sentiment, so I decided to leave it off this time. Simple, yet beautiful.

Get Well 🤒 Day 7

img_0027Welcome!

Today I wrap up another handcrafted card series. These series have forced me to go outside my comfort zone and have helped me to be a more creative card making artisan. If you have a chance, please follow me on my Instagram account @gazellesentiments. I started the account last August and I’ve documented my journey through photos.

Today’s card I used Catherine Pooler‘s inks. The card almost has a watercolored feeling. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

New series starts tomorrow!

Until tomorrow…
