Welcome Home 🏡 Day 1

Welcome!

I am happy to share a new handcrafted card series with you this week. So many of my coworkers have purchased or are renting new homes and I haven’t really had any cards in hand to give them, so what better way to build up my stash! I will make a bunch over this next week and be ready for next time 😊

Today’s card was 100% Pinterest inspired. I used my Cricut and literally made the house by welding together a triangle, square and heart. That’s it! Pretty easy, I must say. I used Distress Oxide for color and also my Empress for embossing.

Until tomorrow…

Get Well 🤒 Day 7

img_0027Welcome!

Today I wrap up another handcrafted card series. These series have forced me to go outside my comfort zone and have helped me to be a more creative card making artisan. If you have a chance, please follow me on my Instagram account @gazellesentiments. I started the account last August and I’ve documented my journey through photos.

Today’s card I used Catherine Pooler‘s inks. The card almost has a watercolored feeling. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

New series starts tomorrow!

Get Well 🤒 Day 3

Welcome!

I heard today we are getting more snow this weekend! It’s crazy. There isn’t any place for the plows to move the snow to.

Today I was driving and what used to be two lanes, was now only one lane because of the snow completely covered one full lane. Of course I was in the wrong lane and almost got into an accident trying to move over. As I drove further down the road, a big truck with a plow, went into the intersection right as I was coming down the hill. I had to come to a complete stop and then proceed to go around him because he was too big to back up. 😑

I sure hope it is nice and warm where you are today 😊

Tonight I have another handcrafted card to share with you that was inspired by Catherine Pooler Designs. I used her inks and stamps. I also used my Empress by Anna Griffin to emboss the card front. the little butterfly is from The Dollar Tree. Enjoy!

Until tomorrow…

Get Well 🤒 Day 2

Welcome!

As I write this, I’m not feeling too well. I just worked out, but as soon as I put my head backwards, my vertigo kicked in. Ugh-It really throws my system into a tailspin.

Anyway, I am excited to share today’s handcrafted card with you. It is once again inspired by Catherine Pooler Designs. She is absolutely amazing and her products are top notch!

Get Well 🤒 Day 1

Welcome!

I’m very excited to start this new handcrafted card series. I’ve always used paper pads for my cards, but I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and try stamping, inking and blending!

I used to crochet for many years, but I had to give it up because my hands would cramp up so badly. Later, I tried coloring but I was not able to do so due to the same cramping in my hands. When I decided to start making cards, I focused on utilizing beautiful paper pads. I didn’t think I would be able to stamp, but I must be using different muscles, because I love it and I’m pain free!

I hope you enjoy this week’s theme. I will try to do some sort of stamping each day.

Today’s card is inspired by Catherine Pooler Designs.

Luck of the Irish ☘️ Day 7

Welcome!

Today is day 7 in the, “Luck of the Irish” series. I admit I struggled with this card. The background is two different patterns of washi tape. I struggled with the clovers I adhered to the front of the card. For some reason, this cardstock resembles construction paper I used as a kid, so it I just can’t get excited about it. I ended up layering the hearts for dimension and using some bling. I think I should have skipped the clovers all together and just added a sentiment to the front.

I want to share my successes and those that may not hit the mark. I’m human and I know you all accept me 😊

Until tomorrow…

Luck of the Irish ☘️ Day 6

Welcome!

I had so much fun making this card today! I just got my new Anna Griffin Empress from HSN yesterday, so I used it to emboss the card front. I also used my Catherine Pooler ink to create a designer layering piece with my shamrock stamp. Finally, I used one of the new shamrock stickers I purchased from Hobby Lobby!

Enjoy today’s card and have a fabulous Saturday!

Until tomorrow…
