Gift Tags 🏷 Day 3

Hello!

Today’s tags were fun to make. I cut the shapes out of kraft paper using my Cricut. I cut out four circles-two solid, one of a dog and one of a cat. I covered each of the solid pieces with washi tape and then glued the animal pieces over rhe top of the solid pieces. I finished off each tag by inking the edges with vintage photo oxide ink.

I truly adore how simple and clean these look. I absolutely love them!

Do you use washi in your projects?

Until tomorrow!

Keep crafting,

😻Becky 🐶

Gift Tags 🏷 Day 2

Hello!

Today I would like to share with you two tags I made by upcycling a cereal box. I used the We R Memory Keepers Tag Punch Board for the tags and I covered them with Graphic 45 paper. I inked up the edges with vintage photo oxide ink; I really like how that technique adds so much interest to projects! I used coordinating chipboard pieces as embellishments and then some pretty yellow tule as ribbon.

I hope you are having a great week! Until tomorrow…

Keep crafting,

❤️Becky❤️

Gift Tags – Day 1

Hello,

Today I would like to share with you a cute shaker tag I made. I followed Maymay Helms’ YouTube video found below:

https://youtu.be/O7CGrZQqzzM

It was the first time I experienced the technique of paper piecing. It was fun! First I stamped the snowmen on white paper stock and then colored them in using Nuvo markers. I fussy cut the snowmen but did not cut out the arms. I stamped the snowmen again on the snowflake background and then glued the cutout snowmen on top of the stamped images.

The shaker bits were leftover from a needlepoint project from years ago. So happy I didn’t donate those bits!

I look forward to sharing with you some very different tags this week. Please be sure to check back and let me know what you think!

Keep crafting,

❤️Becky❤️

Happy Birthday 🎈 Day 6

Hello,

I hope you are all having a fabulous Sunday!

Today’s card was inspired by the following Simon Says Stamp video:

Oh my goodness! This was a fun card to make. I received two packages of paper straws and I didn’t know what to do with them. I looked on YouTube for ideas and found the above-mentioned video and fell in love.

I was able to use so many different tools. I used my Cricut to cut out the borders. I used my Cuddlebug to flatten the straws and cut the word ”Happy.” Finally, I broke out my gold embossing powder and a heat gun to create, ”Birthday.”

My ”oops” moment happened when I adhered the pink Happy to the straws. I realized it was off center and the word didn’t pop. I decided to cut the word again in white cardstock and then simply offset it to the pink Happy I believe this is called, ”Shadowing.” I wonder if this technique was created after doing what I just did? It saved the card!

This uick and fun card wraps up this weeks birthday themed cards. Tune in tomorrow for my kickoff of handcrafted tags.

Keep crafting,

❤️Becky❤️

Happy Birthday 🎈 Day 5

Hello!

Today I would love to share with you this fun shaker card. I have not made a shaker card for over a year, but I found an informative video by Lorrie Nunemaker which simplified the process. You can view her video by clicking on the link below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KmGEFi3h3Y&feature=share

I was able to use my Cricut Explorer to get the perfect cuts. I took Lorrie’s advice and used fun foam to pop up the card instead of foam tape. I haven’t used fun foam before and I loved it for this project.

For the shaker bits, I used sequins I purchased for my daughter years ago! I’m so happy I kept them

For the strings, I used twine I purchased from Michael’s and adhered them to the card by using art glitter glue from Amazon.

My ”oops” moment came after I filled the shaker with sequins, aligned cardstock over the opening and then proceeded to turn the card over to make sure everything looked centered. Can you figure out which step I forgot? Yep, I forgot to adhere the cardstock over the opening! Sequins went flying everywhere 😊

What’s one of your most recent ”oops” moments?

Keep crafting,

❤️Becky❤️

Happy Birthday 🎈Day 4

Hello!

I would love to share with you a version of the birthday card I spotlighted earlier this week. In today’s version, I used a beautiful shimmery purple ribbon and a white button. I still used my favorite birthday embossing folder and also used kraft paper for the card base.

Which version do you prefer? The version from earlier this week with the shimmery silver ribbon and vintage black button or today’s version?

I admit I prefer the earlier version, but still, I believe this is a fun card too!

Keep crafting,

❤️Becky❤️

Happy Birthday 🎈Day 3

Hello!

Today I would like to show you a fun birthday card full of an assortment of elements. First I stamped a few flowers with various patterns and in different colors. I then stamped out a large Birthday sentiment and inked the paper to create interest. Finally, I attached a cute balloon cut from glitter paper and attached some twine to create the string. I popped up the balloon and sentiment to give the card dimension and more interest.

I’m having fun with these birthday cards. Is there a special birthday card design you would like to see?

Happy crafting!

Happy Birthday 🎈 Day 2

Hello!

Tonight I would like to share with you a Pinterest inspired Birthday card. I used my favorite birthday embossing folder in my cuddlebug to create the perfect background. I then used some shimmering ribbon and a vintage black button to complete the card front. To finish off the card, I adhered the card front to brown kraft cardstock.

Share with me your latest Pinterest inspired gem!

(I must give my husband props for taking these photos!)
