Gratitude 🙏 Day 7

Welcome!

It was a crazy day today that left me very little time to create any more journal cards. I headed over to see my Mom in a neighboring state. She took a bad fall a few weeks ago and has been in a transitional care facility. We had a nice visit, but the drive there and back was about a total of four hours, plus the drive was in a bad thunderstorm, along with construction. I just want to take it easy the rest of tonight.

I made these cards last night for the boarding facility taking care of my cats. I hope they like them. I am so grateful to the staff. It’s making a difficult situation a little less stressful. I miss my cats so much, but we need to get my son back on his feet without them impacting his allergies.

Father’s Day 🎩 Day 4

Welcome!

Today’s card was lots of fun to make. I think I say that every time I post something. I really enjoy my craft and it is a wonderful outlet to my crazy life.

I like the fishing bling I added for the photo 😊 I had to chase my cats away and then take a quick photo! Curious cats for sure!

Until tomorrow…

Father’s Day 🎩 Day 3

Welcome!

In today’s card I am still using the card kit I purchased from Hobby Lobby. I printed out a fish template off of the Internet and traced it onto some of the papers included in the kit. I then punched out a hole in each fish and tied each one to some twine. I added a few embellishments to complete this simple Father’s Day card.

I hope this card makes you smile!

Father’s Day 🎩 Day 1

Welcome!

This week’s series will celebrate Dads! I plan to pop in a picture or two of my own Dad to honor his memory. He passed away almost 10 years ago and I miss him every day.

This card series will use a card making kit I purchased from Hobby Lobby. It is all about fishing, so I thought it would work well with this series.

Until tomorrow…

Happy Anniversary 🎉 Day 7

Welcome!

Today is the final day in my Happy Anniversary series. I already sold three cards between last week and this weeks’ series. I wasn’t even planning on selling my cards just yet, just trying to push myself to post a new creation every day in 2019.

I added a pop of color in this photo, using flowers I purchased from Hobby Lobby. The focal points of the card are from one of the first paper pads I purchased when I started making cards. The paper is typing paper weight, but works beautifully when backed with card stock. The card base is size A7, which is new for me. I prefer the A2 size cards, but the one pictured today gave me more real estate to place my images.

This card went right up on my refrigerator to remind my husband how much he means to me. ❤️

Celestial 🌔💫 Day 1

Welcome!

I hope you are having a great start to your week. It’s another beautiful day here.

This week I will be featuring greeting cards with coordinating envelopes. They are simple and fun to make. I could easily go through an entire paper pad and end up with tons of cute cards. I learned this technique from YouTuber, lyriclover810. You should check out her channel!

Rugged 🤠 Day 6

Welcome!

For those of you that do not know me, I started my crafting journey by making origami dresses and shirts to be the focal points of my handcrafted cards. I found origami was a great way to focus my thoughts on one task, which helped reduce my anxiety to manageable levels. I remember getting a MRI and going over and over in my head the process of folding an origami dress.

Happy Saturday to you and yours!

Until tomorrow…

Rugged 🤠 Day 4

Welcome!

Today’s card was inspired by Stamping Jill’s YouTube Channel. It’s a diagonal fold card, which is a new style for me. The base was not too hard, but matching up the designer paper was quite the challenge for me. For whatever reason, I couldn’t get it to work, so my husband did it for me 😊

I hope you are having a great day! It’s almost Friday!

Rugged 🤠 Day 3

Welcome!

Do you ever have an idea in your head, but when you put it to paper, it doesn’t look as good as you imagined? That happens to me a lot, but not today!

I am thrilled with how this card turned out! It is much better than I had imagined! I got the idea from watching Maymay Helmes’ YouTube channel. She has lots of ideas for masculine cards. I particularly liked this one!

Hope you are having a great hump day!

Until tomorrow…

Rugged 🤠 Day 2

Welcome!

Today’s card was made by following one of my favorite crafter’s, Maymay Helmes. I followed her YouTube video, which is found by clicking here. She does an amazing job with step by step instructions.

I’m going to keep the card blank for now and use it when I have a specific occasion, such as a birthday or Father’s Day!

I hope you are having a great start to your week!

Until tomorrow…
