Quilling 🌸 Day 5

Welcome!

Do you remember earlier in the week I started off making a tag for my post, but I ripped it? Well, I tried it again and used hole reinforcers and this time it worked out just fine!

I hope you are having a wonderful Friday! I took a vacation day, so I’m looking forward to my 3 day weekend, plus my daughter is coming home for a visit 💕💕

Until tomorrow…

Quilling 🌸 Day 4

Welcome!

It is a sunny beautiful day. It’s amazing what a difference sunshine and longer days make for a happier mood.

I’m getting more and more comfortable with quilling and can’t wait to try out some more designs tonight.

I hope you are all happy and well!

Until tomorrow…

Quilling 🌸 Day 3

Welcome!

Happy first day of Spring! How is the weather where you are today? We had a high of 39F. It wasn’t very sunny, but it is starting to warm up and the snow is fading quickly.

Today’s card actually started out as a tag, but when I added the ribbon, it tore! I couldn’t let it go to waste, so I chopped off the top, adhered it to a mat piece and then onto a 3.5×3.5 card base.

What are some of your favorite saves?

Until tomorrow…

Welcome Home 🏡 Day 5

Welcome!

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I used Catherine Pooler‘s beautiful Happy Place stamp set. The card design was inspired by Daniel West of Del & Artie.

This past weekend, I cut out and colored one of the houses. I set it aside, not knowing what I was going to do with it.

I decided to stamp out a row of houses and then glue my original house on top of one of the images. I couldn’t decide on a sentiment, so I decided to leave it off this time. Simple, yet beautiful.

Until tomorrow…

Welcome Home 🏡 Day 4

Welcome!

I have to tell you about my drive into work this morning! It was so incredibly foggy outside, plus it was pouring rain. I had such a hard time seeing the road, much less too far in front of me. It was actually kind of scary. I’m so glad I don’t have a long commute. It was also before 6am so not much traffic to deal with. Crazy weather!

Back to my card I made for you tonight. I used Catherine Pooler’s stamp set. When I saw this stamp set, it truly touched me. It reminded me so much of the house I grew up in. The house was green for many years, until my parents had it stuccoed tan when I was a little older. I also like the shape of the house. It is exactly how I used to draw my houses and trees when I was little. Well, I still do draw them that same way today 🤗

Until tomorrow…

Welcome Home 🏡 Day 3

Welcome!

The rain continues, but it is slowly knocking down the snow banks and allowing me to see what’s coming up the road. I’m still worried about flooding because all the sewer drains are covered with snow.

Anyway, let me share with you today’s handcrafted card. This card features Altenew’s Heartfelt Sentiments stamp set. I also used my Empress for embossing, my Cricut for cutting and my Spectrum markers for coloring.

Until tomorrow…

Becky ❤️
